Planning something or Working out a Problem

This is an action list to help you through the stages when you are planning something or you are trying to solve a problem or simply the best way of doing something.

  • Define the problem or objective.   Define what it is and eliminate all what it is not.
  • Break it down into stages or sub – tasks.   Treating the stages separately may ease the complexity of the problem.
  • Analyse each of the tasks or part of the problem.
  • Solve, or eliminate each task, etc. ~ or try out several different approaches.
  • Select the best plan or answer.
  • Try it out – does it work?
  • Review, modify, feedback, re-start until you are finally satisfied.

Planning for furniture or cabinet construction is dealt with here.
