All Woodworkers should know about these basic safety rules:

These guidance leaflets are provided free from the Health and Safety Executive and describe the basic information about the UK (English) safety laws.    Leaflets for other regions and languages may also be found but please search at the address below.

They are the basic rules and advisory information to comply with British Safety Legislation but because they are pertaining to safe practice and in particular the woodworking industry, they  provide safe working practices for all woodworkers wherever domiciled.

Readers from other countries are advised to seek out their own country's safety legislation and read it because there are differences from country to country and some controls are tighter than others.

Remember - when you employ someone - even your relative - you are responsible for their safe working practices !
